Informatics Institute offers a PhD programĀ  for people who have at least master degree in engineering or related areas. The intensive full-time PhD program is designed for students who want to pursue academic careers or careers in industry.

  • The course load of Data Security Engineering and Cryptography PhD program consist of 7 courses (3 of them might be master level). A PhD student must take 7 courses in order to take the qualifying exams.

  • The qualifying exams consist of oral and written exams prepared by 5 faculty members. The PhD students can take both exams at most twice.

  • If a student passes the qualifying exam, a thesis committee consisting of 5 juries are assigned by the Institute.

  • The PhD students must present at least 3 thesis progress reports and publish an article in an international journals indexed by SCI before defending the dissertation.
